Total gross floor area of approximately 887,000 square feet, Funan comprises of a retail, 2 office blocks and service apartment. Funan was completed in 19months, 3 months ahead of schedule. Use of StiFlex for wall stiffener construction was amongst the other contributing factors to the early completion. StiFlex meet the design requirements of integrating both masonry and drywall. StiFlex vertical stiffeners were used at door locations to reinforce the wall at door hinges with horizontal lintel to support the wall above the openings. Sound tested StiFlex system met very high acoustic requirements for walls within cinema area.
