A 2-storey building where walls on level 1 was designed to span vertically from floor to ceiling slab. Level 2, most walls were to be free-standing, not spanning up to ceiling slab. StiFlex modular system was able to overcome the challenges particularly on level 2 without walls spanning to ceiling slab. Wall height was up t\o 10m where free-standing StiFlex was not possible and efficient. Hence, StiFlex tie-back system was introduced where intermittent horizontal StiFlex members were tied adjacent concrete structures to reduce the StiFlex effective length, reducing deflection. StiFlex free-standing had to be designed for heights of 3.5m up to 6m. StiFlex was used to integrate between brickwall and drywall where one wall type terminates and joins with another wall type.
