The original stiffeners specification was using Reinforced Concrete RC. As a fast-track project, the easy, fast and labour savings StiFlex system were the initial key benefits; in addition to a system that has little or no wastages on site. Owner through the main-contractor highlighted concerns on wall cracks if specifications of RC stiffeners are replaced by steel stiffeners. It was particularly important due to factory's manufacturing of milk powder which clean environment is critical and production cannot be disru d by the need of walls rectification as a results of cracks. StiFlex system with its stiffeners and complementing metal lath for plastering and method statement that follows was the solution. The tallest wall height with StiFlex was at 14.4m for warehouse area.
